Parks events notices

We support events in our parks, but we also want to make sure they work well alongside everyday use, so regular residents and visitors can enjoy these spaces.

Our Events policy for the borough's parks, commons, open spaces and towpaths includes details on how event organisers should inform parks users of upcoming events. We ask organisers of larger events (over 500 attendees) to provide on site and online notices to let you know what’s happening in your local park or open space.

What information is included

Event notices show:

  • The event name
  • Dates the event will be on the site (including set-up and take-down, where relevant)
  • A short description of the event
  • Contact details for the organiser if you need more information
  • A map showing the area of park or open space being used

When notices are available

Event notices will be listed online at least 1 week before the event starts on site.

Organisers must display a printed notice at the park or open space entrance at least 1 week before the event begins.

Printed notices will be removed on the event’s final day on site. Online notices will also be removed on the final day of the event.
